ANDREA ROGGI
"ÉLAN VITAL"
MONUMENTAL EXHIBITION - 17 APRIL TO 12 JULY
ON THE INITIATIVE OF GALERIES BARTOUX & COMITÉ FAUBOURG SAINT-HONORÉ
From 17 April to 12 July 2025, six monumental sculptures by Andrea Roggi will be taking root in Paris's prestigious 8th arrondissement
TRIBUTE TO PHILOSOPHER HENRI BERGSON
Henri Bergson defined the vital impulse as a creative and infinite force that guides the growth and transformation of all life forms. Through her concept of the Energy of Life, Andrea Roggi creates a bridge between philosophy and art by giving form to this vital, invisible force. Their intertwined forms suggest human interconnectedness, the cycle of life and the profound harmony between man and nature
Through this Parisian exhibition, the Italian artist invites us to become aware of this universal force that inspires us to live in a more creative, authentic and conscious way. Andrea Roggi’s art, much like Henri Bergson’s philosophy, celebrates life as a journey in perpetual evolution, a path towards harmony and transformation, urging us to rediscover our place within existence
Andrea Roggi is an Italian sculptor born on 2 July 1962 in Castiglion Fiorentin in Tuscany. His works reveal a profound allegorical meditation. The tree of life is one of the most fascinating symbols of the Western world, spanning civilisations and beliefs. Present in the most ancient traditions, from Babylon to India, and in biblical iconography, it embodies a universal link between the sacred and the living
Its representation extends to European and Asian cultures, so deeply rooted is it in the collective imagination. Mesopotamia left remarkable traces of it in ancient times, notably in Assyrian bas-reliefs where it played a central role in royal rituals
